Closed Circuit - Ian Wieczorek - contemporary visual artist

Based on CCTV stills, Closed Circuit continues the exploration of the implications of digital culture and its influence on how we perceive and relate to the world. The works are painted renderings of unrefined thumbnail images provided by static security cameras, complete with poor quality, technical glitches, unusual angles and framing, and unexpected vantage points. Without their original contexts and 'stories', we are left to our own devices to read them as we wish.
